Grants & Licences
The Forestry Commission
is the authority that regulates private woodland and
forestry matters in the UK. It also encourages particular
types of woodland work through grant aid.
If you need to fell more than five cubic metres of
timber in any one calendar quarter you will almost
certainly need a felling licence.
ARC Woodlands can determine your particular requirement for
a licence and apply for appropriate permissions on your
behalf. In most cases you will have to replant the area
that has been felled.
ARC Woodlands is an Approved Management Planner in Forestry
Commission - Wales new grant scheme, Better Woodlands for
Wales.
We can draw up management plans that include grant aid for
various forest and woodland operations that could include
aid for replanting, tracks, thinning, coppicing and access
work.
